The Most Dangerous Path in The World is in China

You would have ventured to pass through the narrow pieces of wood nailed to the cliff at a dizzy height? Without insurance, no fence, only holding on to a steel chain, bolted directly to the rock at the breast? If so, you can take a chance and buy a ticket to China. Huashan Mountain (Huashan Mountain), which in Chinese means "Flower Mountain", lies 240 kilometers from Xian (Xi'an). This is one of the five sacred mountains of China, and here lies perhaps the most extreme tourist route in the world. If you need adrenaline, forget about rafting and downhill - try it yourself to climb Huashan. Climbing equipment is not needed - only courage, because the trail upward ("Trail of Death") is a board prikolochennye to the cliff hundreds of feet in height, but in the chain that can be grasped.

Judge beating daughter video

A 23-year-old Texas woman posted a YouTube video of her father, a family law judge, using a belt to discipline her when she was 16. A Texas judge seen on an Internet video beating his teenage daughter with a belt has been suspended from the bench while state officials investigate his actions and determine if he should face punishment.
The Texas Supreme Court, in an order posted on its website Wednesday, said William Adams, a county court judge in Aransas County on the Texas Gulf coast, “voluntarily agrees to a temporary suspension from office, with pay.”
But the order goes on to say that Adams “does not admit guilt, fault, or wrongdoing” for his actions seen in the video.
His daughter Hillary Adams said the video was secretly recorded in her bedroom in Rockport, Texas, in 2004, when the judge and his now ex-wife took turns yelling and cursing at her for downloading music from an illegal web site.
The video has been viewed by more than six million people since Hillary released it to a YouTube site on Nov 2.
In the video, Adams is seen repeatedly lashing Hillary, who was 16, yelling and cursing at her, while the girl whimpers and cries in pain.
Along with the video posting, Hillary included a note saying, “Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can’t even exercise fit judgment as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to be elected again. His judgment is a giant farce. Signed Hillary Adams, his daughter.

Cain has a background as a business executive, syndicated columnist, and radio host from Georgia. He served as chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza from 1986 to 1996. Cain served as deputy chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City from 1992 to 1994, and as chairman from 1995 to 1996. Before his business career, he worked as a mathematician in ballistics as a civilian employee of the United States Navy. Gabrielle Giffords

Born June 8, 1970 is an American politician. A Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, she has represented Arizona's 8th congressional district since 2007. She is the third woman in Arizona's history to be elected to the U.S. Congress. Giffords is currently serving her third term in the United States House of Representatives, having been re-elected in the 2010 midterm elections. Considered a "Blue Dog" Democrat, her stances on health care reform and illegal immigration were sources of attention for those opposed to her candidacy and have made her a recipient of criticism from various conservative groups. She has described herself as a "former Republican."
Giffords is a native of Tucson, Arizona, and a graduate of Scripps College and Cornell University. Prior to her election to Congress, Giffords served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2001 until 2003 and the Arizona State Senate from 2003 until 2005, when she resigned to run for the seat held by then-Congressman Jim Kolbe. She also worked as an associate for regional economic development in New York City and as CEO of El Campo Tire Warehouses, a local automotive chain owned by her grandfather. She is married to former astronaut and Space Shuttle Commander Mark E. Kelly.
On January 8, 2011, Giffords was a victim of a shooting near Tucson, which was reported to be an assassination attempt on her, at a supermarket where she was meeting publicly with constituents. She was critically injured by a gunshot wound to the head; thirteen people were injured and six others were killed in the shooting, among them conservative federal judge John Roll. Giffords was later brought to a rehabilitation facility in Houston, Texas, where she recovered some of her ability to walk, speak, read and write. On May 16, 2011, Giffords traveled to Kennedy Space Center to watch the launch of STS-134, the final flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour, which was commanded by her husband Mark Kelly.
Giffords underwent surgery on May 18, 2011, to replace with plastic a part of her skull that had been removed in January to permit her brain to swell after the gunshot to her head. On June 15, she was released from the rehabilitation hospital to return to her husband's League City, Texas, home, where she is continuing speech, music, physical and occupational therapy. On August 1, 2011, Giffords returned to the floor of the House of Representatives to vote in favor of increasing the debt ceiling. +tucson shooting 6 dead, jared lee loughner federal prison mental hospital, tucson shooting survivors congress,

Joe Frazier

January 12, 1944 – November 7, 2011, also known as Smokin' Joe, was an Olympic and Undisputed World Heavyweight boxing champion, whose professional career lasted from 1965 to 1976, with a one-fight comeback in 1981.
Frazier emerged as the top contender in the late 1960s, defeating opponents that included Jerry Quarry, Oscar Bonavena, Buster Mathis, Eddie Machen, Doug Jones, George Chuvalo, and Jimmy Ellis en route to becoming undisputed heavyweight champion in 1970, and followed up by defeating Muhammad Ali on points in the highly-anticipated "Fight of the Century" in 1971. Two years later Frazier lost his title when he was knocked out by George Foreman. He fought on, beating Joe Bugner, losing a rematch to Ali, and beating Quarry and Ellis again.
Frazier's last world title challenge came in 1975, but he was beaten by Ali in their brutal rubbermatch. He retired in 1976 following a second loss to Foreman. He made a comeback in 1981, fighting just once, before retiring for good. The International Boxing Research Organization (IBRO) rates Frazier among the ten greatest heavyweights of all time. He is an inductee of both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
Frazier's style was often compared to that of Henry Armstrong and occasionally Rocky Marciano. He was dependent on bobbing, weaving, grunting, snorting as he grimaced with all out aggression wearing down his opponents with relentless pressure. His best known punch was a powerful left hook, which accounted for most of his knockouts.
After retiring, Frazier made cameo appearances in several Hollywood movies, and two episodes of The Simpsons. His son Marvis became a boxer trained by Frazier himself although was unable to emulate his father's success. Frazier continued to train fighters in his gym in Philadelphia. His later years saw the continuation of his bitter rivalry with Ali, in which the two periodically exchanged insults, interspersed with brief reconciliations.
Frazier was diagnosed with liver cancer in late September 2011 and admitted to hospice care. He died November 7, 2011. Joe frazier memorial service, 'I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration

Boil potatoes until tender. Remove skins when cooled. Put into a large bowl and whip until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased casserole dish & top with Streusel topping. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Make the oatmeal streusel by grinding the rolled oats to a fine flour using a food processor. A blender will also work. Combine the oat flour with brown sugar, flour & cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut the cold butter into the dry mixture using a pastry knife or a fork until you have a crumbly mixture with pea-size bits. Sprinkle this oatmeal streusel over the sweet potato mixture

Streusel Topping
1/2 cups pecans, chopped, toasted
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 medium Rome apple, finely chopped
1 tablespoon unsweetened orange juice
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Combine ingredients in a small bowl; set streusel topping mixture aside while you prepare the sweet potatoes.

Prepare potatoes
3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled, cut in chunks
1/2 cups unsweetened orange juice
3 tablespoons Brandy (optional)
1 teaspoon butter, softened
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 teaspoons freshly grated ginger root
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoons cracked black pepper
3 egg whites
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium saucepan bring potatoes to a boil; cover and simmer until fork tender; drain. Mash together in a large bowl with 1/2 cup orange juice, brandy, 1 teaspoon butter, orange zest, freshly grated ginger, salt and pepper.

Beat egg whites to soft peaks; slowly add 1/3 cup brown sugar, beating to stiff peaks; fold into the mashed sweet potatoes. Spoon mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish; spread the streusel topping evenly over the potato casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until puffed and the streusel is crisp; let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Richard Mendoza Murder Jealousy

Richard Mendoza murder jealousy- Sometime in November 2002, Richard "Ricky" Mendoza looked into a classroom window at his Missouri City high school and caught an upsetting sight: his girlfriend of two years kissing his baseball teammate, Christopher Allen Daigle.

A few days later, Daigle, 17, went missing.
Authorities now believe that moment in the classroom may have foreshadowed what happened to the teen, whose disappearance remained a mystery for several years.
On Aug. 12, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Mendoza, now 26. He was charged with murder in Daigle's death and remains in jail.
Police allege he shot Daigle in the back of the head with a 12-gauge shotgun in a Fort Bend County field just a few days after the incident in the classroom, according to court records that were obtained Tuesday by the Houston Chronicle.

A day before Mendoza's arrest, authorities discovered bones - later determined to be human - while searching a rural area near FM 521 in Fort Bend County where they believed Daigle's body was hidden. DNA testing is under way to confirm that the remains are Daigle's.

Two boys were friends

Wanda Gregory, Daigle's grandmother, was shocked to learn of Mendoza's connection to her grandson's death. She said the two played baseball together at Hightower High School and had known each other most of their lives.

"It was kind of hard to imagine that a friend could do that to another friend," said Gregory, 67. "It was very hard."

She described her grandson as a loving teenager who had aspirations of playing professional baseball. She said the identification of the remains may bring some peace to her family.

"You always hope there's the possibility that he's still out there somewhere," she said. "But as much as he loved us, he wouldn't have stayed gone that long."

Missouri City Police Department investigators initially assigned to Daigle's case did not develop any leads about his whereabouts or determine that foul play was involved. The investigation was suspended about four years later, court records state.

But in January 2009, detectives received information from a woman who told police that Mendoza took her to a tree line near FM 521 and Texas 6 South, where he confessed to her that he shot and killed Daigle.
